I am a computer programmer, entrepreneur, and genealogist.
I co-founded GetchaBooks.com, a course-based textbook price comparison website that scraped college bookstore chain websites on demand, from 2010 to 2012. I wrote essentially the entire backend. We open sourced our PHP/MySQL codebase. See screenshots and press (NYT, TechCrunch).
From 2012 to 2014, I worked at Dimagi, a mobile health data collection company with an innovative web-based application building, case management and reporting product.
From 2015 to 2016, I worked at Merck.
In 2018, I founded the genealogy hosting website MyGEDCOMs, but as far as I know it went offline. It may be coming back eventually.
I have a B.S. in Computer Science from Tufts University.
