Michael A. White

Genealogy

My family tree contains about 20,000 people and 3,000 ancestors and can be viewed at GeneaNet. Every individual has been manually verified to an ever-increasing standard of correctness. I am about 48% English, 3% Scottish, .5% Welsh, 2% Irish, 23% German (mostly Swabian with a small amount of Palatine and North German), .5% Swiss, 17% Dutch, 4% French, and 1% Norwegian, with trace modern times amounts of Danish, Swedish, and Belgian.

I am a member of the oldest White family in the United States, or the third oldest, depending on how one looks at it. All of the White-surname immigrants to the Plymouth and Massachusetts Bay colonies were either close or distant patrilineal cousins.

I founded a GeneWeb-based genealogy hosting site named MyGEDCOMs from 2015 to 2018 or so but shortly after the hard launch, I somehow woke up from my bedroom into a hospital, the site went offline, and I never got around to launching it again. The site featured Bring Your Own Domain, unlimited generation maps, and automatic Dropbox upload of GEDCOM photos, as an HTTP wrapper for GeneWeb. Contact me if you are interested in using the source code.
